The LDP for Band 2 and above leaders included:
The LDP at Sudarshan was built on the Wholesome Leadership Model, emphasizing “Growing Together,” core competencies, and cultural alignment. This 12-month blended journey combined workshops, coaching, peer cohorts, and industry exposure, structured across four key themes: Leading Self, Leading Others, Technical Excellence, and Managing Change. Participants were selected and reassessed by a senior steering committee. The program also aligned with Sudarshan’s CSR initiative, SUDHA Leap, reinforcing a higher purpose and collective growth.
Recognizing the strategic importance of developing their women talent, the organization partnered with Pragati Leadership to implement a comprehensive Women’s Leadership Development Program spanning over 3 years across 4 successful batches (October 2021, May 2022, September 2023, and August 2024). This long-term strategic initiative was designed as a holistic 3-month journey featuring seven core modules: Self Mastery, Emotional Intelligence, Assertiveness, Handling Bias, Executive Presence, Power of Collaboration, and Power of Networks.
The program employed a systematic approach using interactive workshops, peer learning, reflective exercises, and group coaching. Each session was reinforced with practical assignments that enabled participants to apply leadership tools to real-time work situations, ensuring immediate relevance and impact.
As a direct outcome of the Leadership Development Program, participants demonstrated remarkable transformation across multiple dimensions:
Accountability emerged as the most improved area, with participants showing increases of more than 1 full point in self-ratings, reflecting a stronger ownership mindset and clearer connection between personal goals and professional actions.
Assertiveness and Influence showed marked progress, with participants displaying increased willingness to express opinions and challenge norms in respectful, structured ways.
Executive Presence and Gravitas improvements were visible in team and cross-functional settings, with participants demonstrating enhanced professional presentation and stronger leadership readiness.
Greater resilience and emotional regulation, improved communication and decision-making capabilities, and heightened awareness of systemic bias with practical strategies to address it.
The program’s impact extended beyond individual accomplishments to measurable organizational benefits. The enhanced collaboration and networking skills contributed to stronger team dynamics and cross-functional effectiveness. Managerial feedback validated the program’s success, noting that clear potential had been unlocked across participants, with visible improvements in professional interactions and leadership behaviors.
The Women’s Leadership Development Program demonstrated how targeted leadership development and structured skill-building can unlock significant potential and create lasting professional advancement. The foundation was established for continued growth through strategic project involvement and expanded organizational visibility.
Hence, strategic leadership development focused on women’s professional growth can drive measurable results in building leadership pipeline strength and organizational capability enhancement.
