The presentation ceremony of the Inspiring and Successful Leadership Awards by Pragati Leadership held on 30th August recognized some of India’s most impactful and successful CEOs from the Manufacturing and Supply Chain sectors.
These awards have been instituted by Pragati Leadership to recognize individuals in the Indian corporate sector who create energized, aligned teams and steer organizational projects to success. The Awards are a platform to celebrate stellar leadership qualities and aim to catalyze a culture of inspiring, successful leaders across sectors.
The first round of awards for the Manufacturing and Supply Chain sector were held in August 2022. Shortlisted nominees were evaluated by a jury comprising eminent personalities from the corporate, social and academic circles.

Mr. Anavangot has served on the boards of Laxmi Vilas Bank and Amrutanjan, amongst other companies, and is a Past President of the Madras Management Association.
A gold medalist from IIM Ahmedabad and an electrical engineer, Biji Kurien’s corporate experience spans CPS Color India, Berger Paints, Asian Paints, and the Mysore State Electricity Board. He is the author of Half a Century and Still at the Crease – a journey through 50-plus years as a management professional.
Dr. Gankar’s areas of expertise span academic leadership, strategic planning, institution building, academic programming & planning, research, consultancy, industry collaborations, rankings, and accreditation. She has worked as Dean and Director of two business schools at MIT, Pune. She is a research guide for doctoral studies and has been the Board of Studies Chairman and member at Savitribai Phule Pune University, JKLU, SIU, and NIBM.
S. Deenadayalan works with the underprivileged to discover their extraordinary talent. Over 30,000 students of municipal schools in India have benefited from his model and evolved into leaders and entrepreneurs. He is the founder of the CEO (Customer, Employees, Owner, or Organization) that has extended services to organizations In India, the Asia Pacific, and West Africa, including GE, Philips, Corning, Saint Gobain, Pepsi, and Coca-Cola, Mondelez (Cadburys), Kellogg’s. Isuzu, and others.
A strategic HR consultant, coach, and facilitator – Ms. Anu Wakhlu’s experience covers over 15,000 hours as a Consultant and Facilitator, and over 2500 hours of Coaching for clients. Her international certifications include Certified Executive Coach – ICF (MCC) and Certified in Barrett’s Values & Cultural Transformation Tools (CTT – 1, 2). Ms. Anu Wakhlu is an Ashoka Fellow and author of the book, Time and Life Management.
An alumnus of IIT, Delhi, and FMS, Delhi, Mr. Raman Chadha has worked as Executive VP at Punj Lloyd, and Advisor Operations at Bahwan Engineering in Muscat, Oman, before taking on the role of Head Oil & Gas at Gammon Engineering.
Going forward, the awards will extend to other sectors and will also be held for international leaders in the near future. Awards for different sectors of Indian industry are on the anvil. Further, Pragati Leadership plans to launch the Inspiring and Successful Leadership Awards in select international regions such as the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
